AVENSIS: Technical Fest
AVENSIS, an Annual Techno-Cultural festival was organized by Maharaja Surajmal Institute Of Technology, New Delhi from13th to 15th March 2015. Three students Piyush Kumar (15069), Saksham Wason (15093), Kumar Gaurav (15051)from Computer Science & Engineering Department and Pankaj (15498) from Information Technology Department, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended the fest.
The various events held during Tech Fest were C++ Sleepless, Encoded Beans.SeQueL.Android Gaming, Techvilla Brain, StormCode Mania, ROBOTICS, Carnage Line Follower, (LFR), Hydrobot Robo Maze Robo Rugby, Junkyard Wars, Robowars. Sleepless C++ was a unique programming competition students have to write the program in C++ language without monitor screen to test student’s concentration, accuracy, programming skills. Techvilla was an I.T. based quiz to test students’ knowledge of the I.T. world.
WebComp was a website designing competition. This enthralling and fun filled event gives us a platform to paint the canvas of web. The Junkyard Wars was an event which brings the innovative skills of the students to test. The Junky Warriors comprised of fighting a battle with junk as the weapon. The participants were provided with every plausible junk one can find in the backyard and the tools they require to transform it into their masterpieces. And the best invention is given the title of the victor.
Robo Maze was the mega event of Avensis where an autonomous robot solves a maze by sensing walls. A maze solver robot was the one which trails in a maze. Sovereign robots were brought into play in this event. In this event the robots had to follow a wall. The robot which solves the maze in shortest time is declared the frontrunner. Each time the robot stops or deviates from the path its points were deducted. And finally after evaluation the total score was used to declare the victor. The event, SeQueL was to test the database querying skills of participants.
