World Creativity & Innovation Day 2026
Code & Create: The LEET Challenge
21st April 2026
Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education, at Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram, celebrated World Creativity & Innovation Day 2026 on 21 April 2026 by organizing an engaging coding competition titled “Code & Create: The LEET Challenge.” The event aimed to foster creativity, logical thinking, innovation, and problem-solving skills among students through an application-oriented coding challenge.
Focusing on innovation-driven learning and technical skill development, the programme aimed to enhance students’ ability to approach programming challenges with creativity and logical precision. It provided a competitive environment to sharpen Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), analytical reasoning, algorithmic thinking, and problem-solving abilities, while encouraging students to develop efficient solutions to real-world coding challenges.
More than 40 students actively participated in the coding challenge and competed through intensive coding rounds. The participants were required to analyse problems, identify appropriate approaches, develop solutions, and optimize their code. The competitive environment encouraged students to demonstrate not only their technical proficiency but also their ability to work under time constraints and approach unfamiliar problems systematically.
The challenge provided students with an opportunity to strengthen their programming fundamentals while developing skills that are essential for academic projects, technical competitions, internships, and future careers in the software and technology sector. The activity also highlighted the role of coding as a tool for converting innovative ideas into practical and technology-driven solutions.
Event recognized the efforts and performance of the leading participants. AnishJuyal secured the First Position, followed by Naman at the Second Position and AyushBharti at the Third Position. Rohan Yadav was also recognized for his commendable performance in the competition.
Enthusiastic student participation made the challenge an engaging combination of creativity, innovation, coding, and healthy competition, encouraging participants to approach problems from diverse perspectives and strengthen their technical abilities through continuous practice. The initiative further promoted innovation, technical excellence, and experiential learning, providing students with valuable opportunities to enhance their coding skills and prepare for the evolving demands of the digital and technology-driven world.
