Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam Prachar Abhiyan
10th April - 20th April 2026
NSS Units of Dronacharya College of Engineering actively participated in the “Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam Prachar Abhiyan” organized under the initiative of the Government of Haryana from 10thApril to 20th April, 2026. The campaign aimed to create awareness regarding women empowerment, gender equality, constitutional rights, and the importance of women’s participation in leadership and decision-making. The historic legislation providing 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies was highlighted as a major step toward building an inclusive and progressive “Viksit Bharat.”
As part of the campaign, the NSS Units organized an Awareness Padyatra on 16thApril, 2026, under the guidance of the Principal, Dr. Isha Malhotra. The march witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and staff members, who carried banners, placards, and awareness messages promoting women empowerment and equal representation in democracy. The Padyatra started from the college main gate and moved through nearby community areas, where volunteers distributed informative pamphlets and interacted with local residents to spread awareness about the significance of the Nari Shakti VandanAdhiniyam.
The campaign also included an awareness seminar and poster-making competition based on themes such as women leadership, political participation, digital empowerment, and gender equality. During the seminar, speakers emphasized that the legislation is not only about reservation but also about empowering women to become active decision-makers in society. Students were encouraged to understand their social responsibilities and contribute toward creating a more inclusive and equitable nation. An interactive discussion and Q&A session further engaged participants on the role of youth in promoting equality and social reform.
The poster-making activity encouraged students to express their thoughts creatively through impactful slogans and artwork based on themes like “Sashakt Nari, Sashakt Bharat,” women in leadership, and women in STEM. The posters reflected strong messages of dignity, equality, and empowerment and were later displayed during the awareness march. The entire programme created a positive atmosphere of awareness, responsibility, and collective commitment toward women empowerment among students and faculty members.
The campaign concluded on a successful note with a shared commitment to promote women empowerment, equality and social justice. Through these impactful activities, the NSS Units of Dronacharya College of Engineering effectively supported the vision and objectives of the Government of Haryana while strengthening awareness about constitutional rights and inclusive development among students. The institution also conveyed its heartfelt appreciation to the Government of Haryana and the National Commission for Women for providing guidance and support for this significant initiative.
