IEEE Technical Talk on Digital Future, Innovation and an Ideal Professional Engineer

IEEE Delhi Chapter, and Computer Society of India, organised a technical talk on Digital Future, Innovation and an Ideal Professional Engineer by Dr. K. Subramanian, Founder Director & Professor, Advanced Centre for Informatics & Innovative Learning, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) New Delhi on 29th September 2015 at Delhi Technological University, Delhi. Eleven students namely, Shubhi Sarin(17145), Saurabh kumar(17129), Tarun Bhandari(17161), Sakshi Mittal(17123), Ria Arora(17114), Puneet Saini(17108), Priya Yadav(16955) Dishant Passi(16056), Anurag Vats(16029), Brijesh Aggarwal(16044), Birender Singh Rawat(16043) from Department of Computer Science & Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended the lecture.
Dr. Subramanian, Senior Member of IEEE (USA) discussed about digital future and innovations which are taking place in India. He explained the new environmental changes leading to digitalisation and also discussed what innovation is all about. He emphasised that innovation is not giving or putting up the ideas, rather it is all about ways to express the ideas and interacting with clients about the new innovation. He elaborated the changes which impacts both global and regional organizations.
During the talk, Dr. Subramanian introduced drivers and emerging trends in Digital information. With the help of a power point presentation, he explained
1. Laws of Digital Economy,
2. Open competition in Digital World,
3. Development and changes in Environmental Digital Network,
4. Concept of innovation.
The session ended with an interactive questions and answers session in which students raised some questions and their related doubts about the topic. It was a great experience for us as Dr. Subramanian explained in detail about various concepts related to Digital Future, Innovation and an Ideal Professional Engineer.
