LAUNCH of "MICROSOFT OFFICE 2016"

Microsoft India organized the “Office 2016” to introduce the latest Microsoft Office 2016 at the Taj Palace, New Delhi on23rd September 2015. Thirty students along with 4 faculty coordinators Ms. Sarita, Ms. Meenu Gupta, Ms. Megha Goyal and Ms. Priyanka Mahani from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon witnessed the launch and participated in the activities of the event.
The high voltage event was anchored by an eminent TV actor, radio jockey and Managing Director at Encompass Events, Mr. Roshan Abbas.
He introduced the audience to Mr. Karan Bajwa, Managing Director, Mr. Tyler Bryson, General Manager - Marketing and Operations and Mr. Alok Lall - Director, Digital & Social media marketing, Microsoft India Pvt. Ltd.
Mr. Karan Bajwa explained the reason for reinventing productivity and business - processes in the mobile-first cloud-first world through the release of this Office 2016 apps. Built in perfect sync to work with Windows 10, he claimed Office 2016 to be the most secure version of Office till now.
Mr. Tyler Bryson explained the advanced features present in this release of MS Office which make it unique from other versions of this application. He explained the built-in ‘Data Loss Prevention’ feature across Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook that would significantly reduce the risk of leaking sensitive data with tools for IT administrators to manage content authoring and document sharing policies.
Further Mr. Alok Lall practically displayed the unique features of Office 2016. He displayed the ‘Tell Me’ and ‘Smart Lookup’ options used to find the relevant Office feature or command and bring insight of the web right into the document respectively. The crowd cheered when he exhibited the features of ‘Integrated publishing to Power BI’ and new modern chart-types which help in making most of data.
The guests of the session were Mr. Arunabh Kumar, CEO - Viral Fever Media Labs, Mr. Varun Aggarwal - filmmaker, entrepreneur and bestselling author, Ms. Anusha Subramanian, India's youngest published author and members of Parikrama, one of the first rock bands of India.
All of them shared the ways in which they had used Microsoft technologies in getting success. They effusively praised Microsoft products like Skype and OneNote which have changed the vision of the people and made their lives simple. Parikrama band enchanted the audience with their performance.
In the post - lunch session the students were given various activities to perform and prizes were distributed among the winning students. The event came to an end with prize distribution ceremony. Mr. Karan Bajwa delivered a vote of thanks.
