The Sensitization and Awareness workshop for Incubators is organized by the Industries & Commerce Department, Government of Haryana and Start-Up Haryana on 21st January 2026 at HARTRON Electronics Development Cooperation Ltd. , Gurugram. The event aimed to familiarize incubators with the Haryana Startup Ecosystem, Startup India initiatives, the registration and support mechanisms available for incubators.
The event was attend by Prof. Garima Srivastava and Dr. Sravani Nidadavolu representing the incubation centre DCE Innovation and Incubator Foundationof Dronacharya College of Engineering,Gurugram.
The programme commenced with the registration of participants between 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM, followed by a tea break, which also provided an informal opportunity to interact with fellow participants. The welcome address delivered by representatives from the Industries & Commerce Department, Haryana, set the context of the meet and emphasized the state’s commitment towards strengthening the start-up and incubation ecosystem.
This was followed by a detailed introduction to the Haryana Startup Ecosystem, presented by the Knowledge Partner Team. The session highlighted various support mechanisms, incentives, and initiatives offered by Startup Haryana to incubators and startups. An interactive quiz conducted during the session made the discussion engaging and helped reinforce key takeaways.
The next session focused on the Startup India Ecosystem, where Ms. Seema Charan from Startup India (DPIIT) joined the programme through a Zoom meeting. She briefed the participants on important government policies, schemes, and support structures available for incubators under Startup India. Her session provided valuable clarity on national-level initiatives and how incubators can align their activities with these policies.
Then, the Knowledge Partner Team conducted a hands-on session on the Startup Haryana Web Portal, explaining the registration process for incubators, documentation requirements, and post-registration support. This session was particularly useful in understanding the procedural aspects and compliance requirements.
An open Q&A session followed, during which we have actively participated and raised a few questions related to the incubation process, registration workflow, and support mechanisms. The responses from the Industries & Commerce Department and the Knowledge Partner Team helped us gain a clearer understanding of the incubation framework and operational expectations.
One of the key highlights of the event for us was the opportunity to meet and network with several co-incubators from across the region. The interactions were enriching, and we were happy to explore possibilities for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and future partnerships with them.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Prasun Mathur from Startup Haryana acknowledging the participation and contributions of all stakeholders. Overall, the event was well-organized, informative, and valuable in strengthening our understanding of both the Startup Haryana and Startup India ecosystems, while also fostering meaningful professional connections.
