NSS Units of Dronacharya College of Engineering celebrated Parakram Diwas, commemorating the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, with dignity and patriotic spirit on 23rd January 2026. The programme was organised to honour the life, vision, and extraordinary contribution of one of India’s most revered freedom fighters.
The event was honoured by the presence of the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Isha Malhotra, Registrar, Dr. Hansraj, Heads of various Departments, faculty members, staff, and a large gathering of students. The observance began with the offering of floral tributes to the statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, where dignitaries, faculty, staff, and NSS volunteers paid homage to the great leader and patriot.
During the programme, speakers reflected on Netaji’s pivotal role in India’s independence movement, highlighting his bold leadership, unshakeable determination, and lifelong commitment to the nation. His ideals of courage, discipline, unity, and self-sacrifice were recalled, emphasizing their relevance in contemporary times. The addresses inspired the audience to uphold national values and contribute positively to society.
NSS volunteers actively contributed to the success of the event by engaging students through thoughtful messages and reflections centered on Netaji’s principle of “Nation Above All.” The programme served as a reminder to the younger generation of the immense sacrifices made by freedom fighters and encouraged them to develop a sense of duty, integrity, and service towards the nation.
The observance of Parakram Diwas concluded on an inspiring note, reinforcing students’ awareness of India’s glorious past and motivating them to follow the ideals of bravery, leadership, and selfless service embodied by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
