Kite Flying Competition

NSS UnitsofDronacharya College of Engineering (DCE), Gurugram successfully organised a Kite Flying Competition on 23rd January 2026 in the college premises as part of the Basant Panchami celebrations. The event was conducted with the objective of promoting traditional Indian culture, teamwork, unity, and healthy recreational activities among students.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments. Participants showcased excellent flying skills, creativity, and sportsmanship while strictly adhering to safety guidelines. The entire campus was filled with vibrant colours, excitement, and a festive atmosphere, reflecting the true spirit of Basant Panchami.
The programme was executed under the esteemed guidance and gracious presence of the college leadership, including the Principal Prof. (Dr.) Isha Malhotra, Registrar Dr. Hansraj Yadav, NSS Programme Officers Dr. Ashok Kumar, Prof. Pooja Sharma, Dr. Anupam Dalal, Dr. Vaishali Dixit, and Prof. Sanjyoti, along with all Heads of Departments, faculty members and staff, who motivated students to actively engage in cultural and co-curricular activities along with academics. The NSS volunteers played a vital role in managing the event efficiently, ensuring smooth coordination, discipline, and safety throughout the programme.
After keen competition, the winners were declared and applauded for their commendable performance.Overall, the Kite Flying Competition proved to be a joyful and memorable experience that strengthened cultural values, encouraged student participation, and fostered unity and harmony among the students of Dronacharya College of Engineering.
