Seminar on Developing Positive Relationships with Students

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized a seminar on "Developing Positive Relationships with Students" on 28th September 2021, aimed at fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment. A total of 31 faculty members and 6 non-teaching staff participated in the seminar, which focused on the significance of building trust, empathy, and effective communication with students. Ms. Aditee Sharma (Sr. HRBP, Ramboll India) was the resource person of the workshop.
Experienced speakers from the education sector shared insights on creating an inclusive classroom atmosphere, understanding student needs, and employing strategies to enhance teacher-student relationships. Interactive discussions highlighted the role of mentorship, active listening, and personalized engagement in promoting student success and well-being.
The seminar emphasized the importance of emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and maintaining a professional yet approachable demeanour. Participants were introduced to various techniques for motivating students, handling difficult situations, and fostering a culture of mutual respect and collaboration. Case studies and real-life examples were discussed to provide practical approaches for nurturing positive relationships in both academic and administrative interactions. The seminar concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where participants shared their experiences and received constructive feedback, reaffirming the institution's commitment to holistic student development and academic excellence.
