On the occasion of Engineers' Day, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugrum organized “Abhiyantriki 2021” on 15th September 2021 to celebrate the life of Bharat Ratna, Sir Mokshagundam Vishweshvaraya. The event was attended by students and faculty members of all the departments. Some technical and techno-cultural event was organized.
The event was inaugurated by Principal Prof.( Dr.) Isha Malhotra. She addressed students and remembered the legacy of Sir Mokshagundam Vishweshvaraya and laid emphasis on the roles and duties of engineers in changing this world for the better. She said budding technocrats must learn from the life of Sir Mokshagundam Vishweshvaraya and accordingly contribute to the society.
The Wise Owl Quiz Competition was organized under technical events. In this competition a quiz was conducted on online platform called kahoot. Student Coordinator and host of the event were Isha Dabas and Tanmay Srivastava. The winners of the quiz competition, based on speed and accuracy in the quiz are: Ankit Prajapati (22643) from CSIT (5th sem) and Prashant Karn (23116) from CSE (3rd sem) scored first prize and Ishank Gera (23217) from CSE (3rd sem) scored second prize.
Tech Pirate was organized under technical events. The event was divided in 3 rounds with 1st round treasure hunt where participants searched for 15 treasures in their home. 2nd round was riddle round with 10 riddle and last round was quiz to solve clues and reach to final treasure. Winner was decided by the gold coins gathered by the participants.
Vineet Gahlan (22590) from EEE was the winner and Nishant Singh Tanwar (23093) from CSE was the runner up of the competition.
Poster My Pc was organized under technical events. Topics for the poster given to be students were : AI, Cyber Security , Big Data, Virtual Reality, Block Chain, IOT, Android vs IOS, 3d printing, 3d printing, Robotics Crypto currency. Student made poster in PPT and Paint on given topics and submitted in digital form. Aditya Raj from CSE Department was the winner and Ankit Aryan from EEE Department was the runner-up of the competition.
Unsung Tech was organized under technical events. The event was divided in 2 rounds. In the 1st round participants submitted case study on underrated innovation or technology for fighting climate change. In the 2nd round finalist gave online presentation on their topic.
Nikihil Kumar from ME Department was the winner and Sumit Kumar from ME and Vineet Gahlan from EEE Department were the runner-up of the competition.
Hoist The Mic was organized under Techno – Cultural Event. Under the event participants presented 5 min standup comedy act related to engineering and education. The participants were judged on the basis of content, humor, presentation.
Kartik Garg from IT Department was the winner and Ajay Thakran from ECE Department was the runner up of the competition.
Scribble was organized under Techno – Cultural Event. Participants were in the team of two. Event was conducted on MS Team. Participants were given maximum of 3 min time to complete the task.
Noorkaran and Chirag Sharma from CSE Department were the winner and Jatin Kumar and Yatin Madan from CSE Department were the runner up of the competition.
MEME for Engineers was organized under Techno – Cultural Event. The event garnered lot of fun activities. The event was divided in two rounds: 1st round: “wheel for fun” where participants is given task to perform and 2nd round: “Meme for engineers” where students submit their self-made memes.
Avinash Verma (23691) from R&A was the winner and Dhruv Sharma (22932) from ECE was the runner-up of the competition.
Talkie Challenge was organized under Techno – Cultural event. Under the event participants have to guess the movie with the help of picture shown. Participant has to find the common word from the picture and then replace that common word by “___” word given on the spot.
Harsh Baghel from CSE was the winner and Divanshi Oberoi from CSE Department was the runner-up of the competition.
