Google Developer Student Club, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized a session on Source Tember - A Way to Open Source from 29th September - 1st October, 2021 and the speakers of the session were Gourav Sharma, Akashdeep Bhagat and Divyansh Khandelwal.
Gourav Sharma started the session with the Introduction to “Open Source”. He said, open source is a way of working on a project that relies on collaboration, decentralization, and access. Open source software makes source code available to users and invites a community of technical and non-technical contributors to build on and improve it.
Second session was on “Introduction to GIT and GITHUB” by Akashdeep Bhagat. He said, GIT and GitHub are two different technologies that every developer should learn irrespective of their field. He also briefed students, Git is a version control system which lets you track changes you make to your files over time. Then he told students, how to install Git, how to configure Git, how to create and initialize a project in Git. Next he explained Github. GitHub is an online hosting service for Git repositories. He described how to push a repository to Github.
Last but not the least session of 3-days long SOURCE TEMBER event which was on "Let's contribute" was hosted by skilled Divyansh Khandelwal.
