FDP on Advances In Electronic Device Modeling And Simulation Studies
15th - 17th September 2021
ECE Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized “FDP on Advances In Electronic Device Modeling And Simulation Studies” from 15th – 17th September, 2021. 8 faculty members attended the FDP. The resource person of the FDP was Dr. Ritu Pahwa (Asst. Prof. Vaish College of Engineering).
On the first day of the FDP, recent trends in Semiconductor Devices and provided an insight knowledge in research topics with solutions were covered. Broad Topics covered in FDP were:
- Basics- Modelling and Simulation
- Analog Design, Analog Layout issue & Challenges
- Trends in VLSI
- CMOS VLSI Building Blocks & Design Issues
- Low power Design Concepts & Introduction to Functionality of simulator
On the next day of the FDP, following topics were covered by the trainer of the FDP.
- MOSFET Scaling – Issues & Solutions, Double-gate MOSFET Modeling
- A review on Memristors
- Research – FinFET & NWFET
On the last day, Lab Session was taken up. In the Lab sessions, the participants were required to carry hands on experiments on Analog Design, Compact device modeling using VerilogA and Visual TCAD.
Overall, the FDP was informative.
