Visit to Gurugram University on National Technology Day

Faculty members Dr. Ritu Pahwa (AIML), Prof. Neha Chauhan (Mech.), Prof. Vimmi Malhotra (CSE), Prof. Ashish Khurana (CSE), Prof. Dimple Saproo (ECE) Mr. Govind (ECE) along with 140 Students of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram visited Gurugram University on 11th May 2023 on the occasion of National Technology Day. Events organized by Department of Engineering & Technology, Gurugram University, Gurugram, are sponsored by Department of Science & Technology, Haryana.
National Technology Day is celebrated every year on May 11, to mark Indian technological advancement. The day, has been declared National Technology Day by the Indian Government in order to commemorate the history of India's technological capability and expertise. The day holds importance of its own, as on this particular day, India achieved a huge technological progression. It was only on May 11, 1998, when India successfully tested 5 nuclear powered bombs in Pokhran, Rajasthan, to demonstrate its defence capability. This is regarded as one of the significant moments of Indian history.
Events were the platform for tech enthusiasts to learn, network, and participate in various activities like Quiz Context, Coding Competition, Poster Presentation Project Exhibition and Expert Talk.
Fifteen Projects from Dronacharya College of Engineering were displayed in the exhibition. Students displayed their talents by exhibiting their projects in the competition.
The Award function progressed in the presence of Prof. Dinesh Kumar, Vice Chancellor
Gurugram University (Chief Guest ), Dr.Shelly Sachdeva Dean Student Welfare and Associate Professor at National Institute of Technology Delhi and Dr. Mukesh Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Sciences and Technology, Gurugram University
Prof. Dinesh Kumar, Vice Chancellor Gurugram University created awareness among students, academician and general public about importance of technology, its utility for overall development and its benefits for country and humanity. He encouraged all the students to be involved in projects and innovative ideas. Students displayed their talents by exhibiting their projects in the competition.
The event ended with vote of thanks by Dr. Mukesh Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Sciences and Technology, Gurugram University.
