Paper Presentation at REDSET - 2016
21st - 22nd October, 2016
The 3rd International Conference on Recent Developments in Science, Engineering and Technology – ‘REDSET-2016’ was organized by the School of Engineering, G.D. Goenka University on 21st and 22nd October, 2016. Three students Ria Arora (17114), Anurag Vats (16029) and Prakhar Sethi (16115) of Department of Computer Science and Engineering from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon presented the paper in the conference.
The themes of REDSET - 2016 were Soft Computing and Core Computing, Modelling and Simulation, Computer Networks and Communications, Next Generation Computing, Advanced Databases and Miscellaneous.
Even today the methods and tools of Computational Intelligence such as Artificial Neural Networks, Evolutionary Computation, Fuzzy Logic, Computational Swarm Intelligence and Artificial Immune Systems are under development and possess the potential to solve real life problems across different fields such as robotics, bioinformatics, computational biology, including gene expression, cancer classification, protein function prediction etc., which could be solved using techniques of computational intelligence involving applied mathematics, informatics statistics, computer science, artificial intelligence, cognitive informatics, connectionism, data mining, graphical methods, intelligent agents and intelligent systems, knowledge discovery in data (KDD), machine intelligence, machine learning & natural computing etc. With the same spirit researchers were invited from around the globe to converge at REDSET - 2016 to discuss their research in multidisciplinary environment.
The international conference was inaugurated by the Conference Chair - Mr. Sudeep Sharma (Assistant Dean, School of Engineering, G.D. Goenka University), keynote speakers Mr. Palash Jain (Former Google Director) and Mr. Jeevan Talegaonkar (General Manager for Smart Cities and Digital India Initiative of Ericsson India Pvt, Ltd.).
Papers Presented at REDSET - 2016 by Dronacharyans were:
Ria Arora (17114): “Generating Electricity for Rural Area Using the Cheapest Mode of Transportation – Bicycle”. Anurag Vats (16029): “CZTS A Pinnacle for the Solar Future”
Prakhar Sethi (16115): “Natural Language Processing through Artificial Neural Networks”
After the inaugural function, parallel sessions on relevant disciplines were organized in which contributors from various academic institutes and industries participated and presented their research papers. The conference was concluded with the valedictory session in the evening where Appreciation Certificates were awarded to the delegates. The Conference was attended by a large number of delegates as it brought together leading Researchers, Entrepreneurs and Academicians from India and Abroad.
The conference was a good learning experience for the students and all the presentations were well appreciated by the jury.
