NSS Volunteers at Pre-RD Trials 2026–27

NSS Cell, Dronacharya College of Engineering (DCE), Gurugram, successfully participated in the Pre-Republic Day (Pre-RD) Camp Selection Trials 2026–27 during September 2026. The multi-level selection process aimed to identify disciplined, talented, and dedicated NSS volunteers for representation at higher levels. Dr. Anupam Dalal, NSS Programme Officer, led and guided the DCE contingent throughout the selection process.

The selection journey comprised three stages - College, University, and State levels. During the initial College-Level Screening, 30 enthusiastic NSS volunteers appeared for evaluations based on physical fitness, discipline, cultural aptitude, and general awareness. Following the assessment, 12 volunteers were shortlisted to represent DCE at the university-level trials.

At the University-Level Trials held at Gurugram University, the shortlisted volunteers competed alongside candidates from various affiliated institutions. Demonstrating commendable discipline, confidence, cultural talent, and teamwork, 7 DCE volunteers successfully cleared the university-level evaluation and progressed to the state-level trials.

The final stage of the selection process was conducted at Kurukshetra University on 24^th September 2026. Under the guidance of Dr. Anupam Dalal, the seven selected volunteers participated in comprehensive evaluations involving drill discipline, teamwork, cultural presentation, and overall personality. Their participation reflected the dedication and enthusiasm of DCE students towards NSS activities and national-level youth programmes.

DCE Volunteers at State-Level Trials

Beyond the selection process, participation in the Pre-RD trials provided the volunteers with valuable exposure to structured training, discipline, cultural representation, teamwork, and competitive evaluation. Their journey from the college-level screening to the state-level trials demonstrated their commitment to the ideals of NSS and their willingness to take on responsibilities beyond the classroom.

Participation in the Pre-RD Camp Selection Trials 2026–27 reflects DCE's commitment to nurturing leadership, discipline, teamwork, cultural awareness, and responsible citizenship among its students. The experience gained through this multi-stage selection process will serve as a valuable foundation for the volunteers' continued personal development and active engagement in NSS and community-oriented initiatives.
