Rotary In-Tech Olympiad 2018

Chirag Aghi (18042) and Divyansh Chauhan (18056) students of VI Semester CSE department from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon participated in grand finale of Rotary In-tech Olympiad 2018 held on 17th February 2018 at College of Engineering Pune (COEP) in collaboration with the Rotary Club and got the First Prize in the Competition.
The objective of In-tech Olympiad was to fill the gap between Industries and Engineering students. Participating students had to qualify various stages or levels to reach the project allotment stage where Rotary Club divided the individual students into various teams and each team had to provide the solution of the Problem assigned to them by the industry experts.
The task given to the DCE Students was to provide research report on the points given below.
- Retail Financing on electric / battery operated three wheelers
- Identification of end-user - Paxx Cargo
- Tenure
- LTV
- IRR
The first phase of competition started in the month of September 2017, based on Online Aptitude and Psychometric Test. 500 Students were shortlisted for the second phase among the thousands of students who participated in the competition. The selected students from phase three were allotted an academic and industry mentor for the completion of the Project. Phase 4 round was qualified by 16 teams. The students of DCE reached their final milestone by getting selected for the grand finale .
The selection criteria of the round were innovation and originality of the concept or approach Idea, Tools and Technologies used and its Implementation feasibility.

On 17th February 2018 the team was declared as WINNER of the competition and was awarded with total cash prize of Rs 30,000 along with the medal and certificates for team members the event was a good learning experience for the students.
