National Level Innovation Fest
25th - 26th February 2023
Four students, namely: Rakesh (Roll No. 23126, CSE), Shubham Kumari (Roll No. 23443, IT), Akshit Gautam (Roll No. 23010, CSE) and Yashika Goyal (Roll No. 23175, CSE) from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram attended “National Level Innovation Fest- Navikaranam” from 25th – 26th February, 2023. The two day long fest was organized by Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC) and Design Innovation Center, NIT Uttrakhand. The Chief Guest was Prof. Lalit Kumar Awasthi, Director, NIT Uttrakhand.
The main objective of the fest was to enhance the thinking process among Diploma, B.Tech and M.Tech students and to provide them with an innovative atmosphere.
More than 200 abstracts were submitted and amongst them 25 teams were selected. Then an open competition took place amongst the shortlisted 25 teams.
The evaluation took place in 2 stages:
- In stage 1, Idea submission was there through online mode. After qualifying in the first stage the teams were considered for second round of evaluation.
- In stage 2, idea was to be presented with a working model in physical mode at NIT Uttrakhand.
On day 1, each team was given around 10 minutes to pitch their project idea in front of the judge panel with their working model. To begin with, each team was required to complete the registration process. Lamp lighting ceremony took place with a prayer. Participants were allowed to interact with other teams, and learn new things from their project ideas and the technology used. Team DCE made software based project.
Day 2 started with meditation and acknowledgment of the shortcomings of student’s ideas pitched the previous day. Results were announced at noon, and Team DCE got 4th position among the 25 shortlisted teams.
Every participant received a registration kit and a participation certificate.
