Celebration of National Youth Day

NSS Units and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MoE), Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram celebrated “National Youth Day” on 12th April 2024. On the occasion, a Quiz Competition and a Poster Making Competition on Viksit Bharat@2047 was organized in the college campus. 120 students from the entire departments participated in the competition enthusiastically.
The objective of the quiz competition was to encourage students to think creatively and understand the significance of innovation in engineering and other disciplines.
The one day event was dedicated to showcasing innovative posters for Viksit Bharat@2047, developed by the B.Tech 3rd and final year students. The rules of the competition were pre-articulated to the participants. The event was coordinated by Ms. Pooja Sharma (IIC, Convener and Faculty, DCE) and Dr. Anupam Dalal (NSS PO and Faculty, DCE).
The event was to showcase artistic skills to present the startup idea and illustrate creativity in form of posters. It was an engaging and inspiring event aimed at providing young innovators a platform to showcase their entrepreneurial ideas through visual demonstrations. The event offered a space for students to present their well-thought-out ideas and invited fellow students and faculty members to witness these creative concepts. Feedback from both peers and faculty led to constructive suggestions for further improvement.
In the end, Dr. Isha Malhotra (Principal, DCE) announced the winners of the two competitions. Event ended with prize distribution for winners.
Benefits/Outcome: The celebration encouraged students to think critically and enhance the participant’s confidence.
