Microsoft Faculty Empowerment Program

Microsoft Innovation Center, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized two days Faculty Empowerment Program - “Saksham” from 19th - 20th June 2017 in the college premises. 30 faculty members attended the workshop. The training was provided by Mr. Kaushik, trainer, Microsoft under the guidance of Mr. Atanu Sur, Program Manager, Microsoft Corporation India Pvt. Ltd.
The objective of the program was to helps educators acquire 21st-century teaching and learning skills to help them leverage Microsoft productivity tools to their best potential.
Saksham is a Microsoft, India initiative to build connectivity and knowledge network among and within institutions of higher learning in the country. Under this initiative, Microsoft is conducting a technology workshops for selected campuses to help them leverage their ICT investment specially Office365, cloud computing, MS Education add-on tools and deployment process. This initiative has far reaching influence on our ecosystem and helps both educators and students acquire 21st century teaching and learning skills to help them leverage Microsoft productivity tools to their best potential.
Outcomes of the Training Program included full awareness of MS programs to educators, learnt how to make best use of Office - 365 for academic collaboration, gained knowledge on how to work with add-ons and necessary 21st century tools in education and understood how to teach with Technology.
