Conclave Conference & Innovation Competition

3rd Dialogue India Academia Conclave 2017 WAKE UP INDIA for Reforms & Transformation in Higher Education and National Conference on Design and Innovation was organized by Dialogue India Magazine in association with Industrial Design and Development Center of IITD and AICTE on 24th June, 2017 at IIT Delhi.
Students, Priyanka Mogha (17106), Pallavi Bhan (17097), Priyanka Kunjwal (17105), Ritika Singh (17117) and Leetasha Maheshwari (17073), Kapish (17063), Monika Yadav (17088), Yatin(18187), Shubham Shukla (18159) from CSE Department, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon along with Project mentors Mrs. Dimple and Mr. Hansraj participated in the competition and presented their projects.
The chief guests and speakers of the ceremony were Prof. A.P. Mittal , Member Secretary AICTE; Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar VC JNU Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman AICTE Shri Pawan Sinha, Educationist and Spiritual Guru.
Delivering the keynote address, Mr. Pawan Sinha said that If by 2020, India's population is expected to become the world's youngest with more than 500 million Indian citizens under 25 years of age and more than two third of the population eligible to work, youth will need the right educational infrastructure to develop skills and adequate opportunities for employment or initiating any startups.
The conference was an enlightening session about the need of WAKE UP INDIA for Reform & Transformation in Higher Education, role of private institution promoters/ owners in quality education and innovation, expert views and suggestion to draft a memorandum to Government on WAKE UP INDIA for Reform & Transformation in Higher Education.
An exhibition was also organized to promote technological innovation in higher education. Several educational institutions from across the country displayed their technological innovation. The institutes participating in this exhibition were IIT Delhi, Lucknow Medical College and Hospital, SCMS School of Engineering and Technology, Krishna Engineering College, RC Patel Institute of Technology, KCG College of Technology, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Dronacharya Group of Institutions and GLA University
The project “Smart Farming System” from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon was selected for presentation and demonstration during the Innovation Competition. The students Shweta Saini (16773, ECS) and Megha Keshri (18219, ECE) presented their project (guided by Ms. Parul Bansal (Assistant Professor, ECE Dept.)) during the event held on 24th June 2017.
The conference proved to be fruitful for the students as it provided them a great exposure and learning opportunity.
