Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam, 2023

Institutions Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MoE), Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram participated in the inaugural session of “Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam, 2023” on 29th July, 2023 organized by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship to commemorate the third anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the second edition of the Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam. Students and faculty members attended the event.
The event, held virtually with participants from all corners of the country, focused on deliberating the transformational impact of the NEP 2020 and its alignment with the goals of Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam.
Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the second Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam. The 'Samagam' coordinates with the third anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Delivering the inaugural address at the Samagam, the Prime Minister said various global universities are interested in setting up their campuses in India. The PM also asked schools to make students aware of subjects such as disaster management, climate change and clean energy. He also released education and skill curriculum books translated into 12 Indian languages. The Prime Minister launched various initiatives on the occasion. The event was also graced with the presence of Union Minister for Education; Shri Dharmendra Pradhan and Ministers of State for Education; Smt. Annapurna Devi, Dr. Subhas Sarkar, Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh along with Shri Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, Shri Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship , Shri K. Sanjay Murthy, Secretary, Department of Higher Education, , heads of the Autonomous Bodies, and officials of the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
The Samagam provided a platform for experts of schools, higher educational institutions, and skilling institutions to discuss, deliberate and share insights, strategies, success stories and best practices in implementing the NEP 2020.
