STYLE-O-MANIA 2.0
“Reel to Real - Become Your Favourite Character!”
27th August 2026
Dronacharya College of Engineering hosted Style-o-Mania 2.0 on 27 August 2026, an exciting fashion and personality showcase exclusively for first-year students. Designed beyond the conventional boundaries of a fashion show, the event provided a vibrant platform for students to express their creativity, confidence, individuality and talent while embracing the spirit of campus life.
Inspired by the theme “Reel to Real - Become Your Favourite Character!”, participants transformed themselves into popular on-screen personalities through their attire, expressions, dialogues, mannerisms and performances. Students drew inspiration from a diverse range of entertainment genres, including Bollywood, Hollywood, South Indian Cinema, Korean Dramas/K-pop and Anime, bringing an energetic mix of characters and performances to the stage.
With 55 entries selected for the event, the competition featured two engaging rounds. Round 1 – Ramp Walk & Character Showcase challenged participants to portray their chosen characters through confident ramp walks, signature poses, expressions, dialogues and character-specific mannerisms. Each participant was given up to one minute to establish the identity and personality of their chosen character, while duo participants added an element of coordination and teamwork to their presentations.
The excitement continued with Round 2 - Talent Showcase & Introduction, where 14 participants comprising 7 solo participants and 7 duos advanced to showcase their talents. Participants introduced themselves as their chosen characters and presented performances connected to their personalities, ranging from acting, dancing, singing and dialogue delivery to mimicry and creative performances. The round highlighted not only stage confidence but also the ability to connect character portrayal with individual talent.
Beyond the glamour and entertainment, Style-o-Mania 2.0 encouraged students to develop essential skills such as communication, stage presence, self-expression, creativity, body language and confidence. Duo performances further promoted collaboration and coordination, while the character-based format encouraged students to explore storytelling and performance in an imaginative way. The lively atmosphere and diverse portrayals made the event an engaging experience for both participants and the audience.
The event culminated in a celebration of talent and individuality, with Himanshi (AIML) and Aman (ME) securing the first position, while Khushi (CSIT) emerged as the second-position winner. Style-o-Mania 2.0 successfully transformed the stage into a space where fashion met performance, creativity met confidence, and favourite fictional characters came alive through the enthusiasm of DCE’s first-year students.
