Prof.(Dr). BMK Prasad (Director, DCE) along with faculty members Dr. Anupam Dalal and Dr. Vimla Yadav from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugam attended “Dr. Rajendra Prasad Memorial Lecture” on 2nd December, 2023 at broadcasting house, Akashvani, New Delhi.
The topic for this year’s lecture was “Emergence of India as an Economic Superpower”.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, (Vice President of India) discussed the various factors that have contributed to India's economic growth in recent years. He highlighted India's strong economic fundamentals, such as its large and growing population, its abundant natural resources, and its entrepreneurial spirit. He also spoke about the Government of India's initiatives to promote economic growth, such as the Make in India program and the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
The Honorable Vice President also discussed the challenges that India faces in its quest to become an economic superpower. He highlighted the need for infrastructure development, skill development, and job creation. He also emphasized the importance of good governance and a stable political environment.
In his lecture, Shri Dhankhar highlighted the significant progress made by India in recent years and its potential to emerge as an economic superpower. He spoke about the government’s initiatives to boost economic growth, such as the Make in India program, the Skill India Mission, and the Digital India initiative.
Shri Dhankhar also emphasized the importance of education and innovation in India’s economic development. He urged the faculty members to play a role in preparing the next generation of leaders who will drive India’s growth.
