“ROBOCODE FUSION: A Hands-on Workshop”
17th October 2025
IEEE Student Chapter of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram, organized an insightful Hands-on Workshop on Innovation in IoT and Robotics titled “ROBOCODE FUSION” for ECE and EEE students on 17th October 2025 at the Computer Centre. The workshop aimed to bridge theoretical learning with real-world technological applications, encouraging students to explore the rapidly evolving fields of Robotics, IoT, and Artificial Intelligence through interactive sessions and live demonstrations.
The session was conducted by Mr. Ankit Vijay Bansal, Director of GenOrion Pvt. Ltd. and SpaceOrion Ltd., New Delhi, along with Dr. Neeraj Baghel, Senior Research Fellow at the Computer Vision and Biometric Lab, IIIT Allahabad. The resource persons brought extensive expertise and hands-on knowledge, making the session highly engaging and informative for the students.
Mr. Ankit Vijay Bansal introduced students to the working principles of advanced defense technologies, including the concept and applications of amphibious drones across multiple industries. His session provided a clear understanding of how innovation in robotics and IoT is transforming various sectors. Students were also given the opportunity to operate minor robotic projects, enhancing their understanding through practical exposure.
Dr. Neeraj Baghel shared valuable insights on the role of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare and the emerging trends in intelligent systems. His talk emphasized the importance of integrating AI-driven technologies into modern engineering solutions. The interactive nature of the workshop ensured that students were active participants, fostering curiosity, discussion, and deeper learning throughout the session.
The primary objective of the workshop was to provide students with hands-on experience using Raspberry Pi and Arduino modules, thereby nurturing innovation and technical proficiency in robotics at an early stage. Through guided demonstrations and experiments, participants gained an understanding of the fundamental principles of robotics and their real-world applications.
The workshop concluded successfully, igniting a spark of creativity and innovation among the students. It enabled them to gain practical exposure to IoT systems, embedded hardware, and automation concepts, encouraging them to pursue future projects in these emerging domains.
