Annual Sports Meet - 2026
19th February to 21st February 2026
Sports Club, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized 28th Annual Sports Meet - 2026 from 19th to 21st February 2026, under the inspiring theme “Empowering Youth Through Sports.” The three-day sporting extravaganza brought together students from various departments to participate in a wide range of indoor and outdoor events, fostering enthusiasm, unity, and healthy competition. The event was formally declared open by Prof. (Dr.) Isha Malhotra on 19th February 2026, marking the commencement of a vibrant celebration of athletic talent and sportsmanship.
Sports events were conducted during the meet, including Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, Chess, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, 100-Meter Race, Lemon Spoon Race, Sack Race, Matka Race, Kite Flying, and the ceremonial March Past. Students from all departments actively participated in Annual Sports Meet.
The valedictory ceremony added grandeur to the occasion with captivating performances by the Sports Stars, Cultural Club members, and Yoga Club participants. The prestigious presence of the Hon’ble Chief Guest, Smt. Kailash Yadav, Founder Member of Smt. Anguri Devi Charitable Trust, elevated the ceremony. She addressed the students, appreciated their sportsmanship and enthusiasm, and distributed trophies and medals to the winners. She also commended the sports coordinators and organizing team for successfully conducting the Annual Sports Meet.
The Annual Sports Meet – 2026 concluded on a high note with prize distribution and a formal vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to dignitaries, organizers, participants, and supporters. The event truly embodied the spirit of the theme “Empowering Youth Through Sports,” fostering confidence, discipline, teamwork, and excellence among students while strengthening institutional pride and unity.
