Celebration of World Youth Skills Day

Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MoE), Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram celebrated “World Youth Skills Day” on 15th July 2024. The theme of the event revolved around the idea that “The success of a nation always depends on the success of its youth.” The event aimed towards empowering students to meet the challenges of a dynamic and rapidly evolving world. 210 students participated in the celebration activities.
Prof. Dimple Saproo (Innovation Activity Coordinator, IIC, DCE) and Prof. Neha Chauhan (Start-up Activity Coordinator, IIC, DCE) were the keynote speakers of the series of interactive sessions, workshops, and skill-building activities. Participants were encouraged to explore their potential and adapt to the ever-changing demands of the global economy. Participants were encouraged to understand the significance of continuous learning and adapting to changing industry demands. The speech also highlighted how reskilling helps individuals stay competitive by learning new proficiencies, while upskilling allows them to enhance their existing expertise for advanced roles. The celebration underscored the need for youth to embrace lifelong learning to remain future-ready. The celebration also reinforced the belief that investing in youth skills is the foundation for building a prosperous and sustainable future.
