Celebration of Kargil Vijay Diwas

NSS Units, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram in collaboration with Veteran India celebrated “Kargil Vijay Diwas” on 26^th July 2024. On the occasion, Retd. Brigadier Jagmohan Varma (SM,VSM) was invited to spread the words of wisdom and infuse patriotism among the students. The event was celebrated to honor the valor and sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces during the Kargil War of 1999. It served as a tribute to the brave soldiers who defended the nation's sovereignty with unparalleled courage and dedication.

The celebration commenced with a solemn tribute to the martyrs, followed by inspiring speeches from faculty and students highlighting the importance of the day. A short documentary on the Kargil War was screened to provide attendees with a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by the soldiers and their unwavering determination. Patriotic performances, including songs and poetry recitations, added to the emotional and patriotic atmosphere.

The event concluded with a pledge by students and faculty to uphold the values of unity, integrity, and service to the nation.

Benefit/Outcome: A sense of belongingness and feeling of patriotism was infused which contribute to the progress and security of the country.
