Vigilance Awareness Week - 2018

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized "Vigilance Awareness Week-2018" from 29th October - 3rd November 2018. Numbers of activities programmes were organized in the college to educate the students on anti-corruption and its ill effects amongst the youth and college students by promoting integrity, transparency & accountability in public life.
Brig. (Retd.) R.S.Kochhar, Registrar, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon briefed students on negative impact of corruption on society. He explained to the students corruption is found to be one of the most damaging consequences of poor governance system. It is characterized by lack of both transparency and accountability. Corruption lowers investment and hinders economic growth also human development. It also limits access to basic social services as well as increases the cost of their delivery. It is one of the factors responsible for poverty. Thus, corruption is anti-poor, anti-development, anti-growth, anti-investment and inequitable. The cost of corruption to a nation is very high. Also college display many posters on the different areas inside the campus to guide students on anti-corruption.
In the end faculty members and students took pledge online and committed themselves to corruption Free India.
