Innovation Competition

Three teams from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram secured 2nd, 3rd and 4th position for presenting best Innovations in North Zone in Student Innovation Competition.
Winnings teams attended Award ceremony of Ramakrishna Mission 125th Anniversary Student Innovation Competition at Howrah, West Bengal on 30th June – 1st July 2023.
RMK Student Innovation Competition is an avenue to showcase their Imagination for the betterment of people. The competition was a small tribute to the genius of Swami Vivekananda in inspiring the revival & rejuvenation of National life in India and was organized by Ramakrishna Mission Saradapitha, Belur Math.
Project title “PARHIT (Portal): A small help by an Indian for an Indian” headed by Akansha Parijat (IT, 3rd year) under the mentorship of Dr. Ritu Pahwa (Associate Professor – AIML Dept.) got 2nd position and Won Certificate along with Cash Prize of Rs. 67,000 (50,000 + Conveyance).
Another Project Team comprising of Chandani Kumari, Avipsa Pradhan, and Vaibhav Singh Rawat (AIML, 2nd year) under the mentorship of Dr. Ritu Pahwa and Dr. Shipra Arora (Associate Professors – AIML Dept.) represented their project idea PLANT SOIL MOISTURE & PH SENSING ALARM and acquired 3rd position, winning Certificates along with total Cash Prize of Rs. 69,000 (40,000 + Conveyance for 2 team members).
The 4th Position from North zone was also secured by Students of DCE, Gurgaon, for the Project Titled “IAGROPOD - VAPOUR PLANT GROWER” by headed by Vibhanshu (EEE,3nd year), with team members Aryan Yadav (ECE, 3rd Year) and Abhimanyu Arya (ECE, 3rd Year) under the Mentorship of Prof. Neha Verma (Assistant Professor – ECE Dept.) . The team received Certificates along with total Cash Prize of Rs. 59,000 (30,000 + Conveyance for 2 team members).
More than 100 Teams participated in the competition from PAN India during 12th January- 7th May 2023. The attendees celebrated the innovative & imaginative spirit of the student community in a way to encourage environment-friendly & sustainable growth on our planet, promote tools that enhance self-dependence among the elderly & disabled.
Overall it was a great experience, a source of motivation and encouragement for students of college as they got the golden opportunity to represent college on Nationally recognized platform and to interact with bright minds of the nation.
