National Integration Camp, CSSHAU, Hisar

Eight NSS Volunteers - Jaiveer Singh (CSE AIML Year II), Mohit Jangra (CSE IT Year II), Vivek Rawat (CSE AIML Year II), Naman Pandey (CSE AIML Year II), Muskan Yadav (CSE IOT Year II), Shreya Kumari (CSE EEE Year II), Kumari Anshu (CSE ECE Year II), Mansi Yadav (CSE IOT Year II) of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugramattended National Integration Campheld at CSSHAU, Hisar in association with Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt of India, NSS Regional Directorate, Delhi from 21st – 27th March 2025 with the theme of "Viksit Bharat and the Role of Youth Empowerment in It."200 NSS volunteers along with 20 Programme Officers from 14 States and Union Territories participated in the Camp.
The camp was held with the objective to foster National Unityand topromote understanding among youth from diverse backgrounds. The week long programincluded academic sessions, cultural activities, sports, and social engagement.
The National Integration Camp is an annual initiative under the National Service Scheme (NSS) that promotes national unity, communal harmony, and inclusivity among India's youth. The event brought together participants from diverse cultural, linguistic, and geographical backgrounds, celebrating the nation’s rich diversity and collective identity. Throughout the camp, participants engaged in enriching discussions and immersive cultural exchanges, fostering mutual understanding and respect.
The event underscored the crucial role of national integration and youth empowerment in nation-building. NSS inspires individuals to take part in impactful initiatives addressing societal needs, such as educational outreach, environmental conservation, and health awareness campaigns. Their contributions have the potential to drive meaningful change.
Day 1: 21st March 2025
Upon arrival on the first day, the camp started with breakfast and registration of all volunteers. After registration everyone reached the auditorium for inaugural ceremony of the camp. After the ceremony and as hortbreak, the participants gatheredatGround for aHavan and intellectual session. Prof. B.R.Kamboj (Vice Chancellor, CSSHAU, Hisar), enlightenedthe volunteers through a thoughtful speech about Youth empowerment and addressed their queries.
Afterwards, memento was presented to thechief guest, making conclusionof the session. Thereafter, lunch was servedat mess. Laterintheevening,group dances were performed by the volunteers at the auditorium.
Day 2: 22nd March 2025
Ontheseconddayof the camp, the daybeganat6:00 AM with Yoga activities.After breakfast, participants proceeded to the Ground, where sports competitions wereorganized.Afterwards, everybody gathered at the main Auditorium of College of Agriculture, for lecture on Role of NSS. After the lecture, a Speech and Poem competitionwas organized on stage. The participants also had the opportunity to learn various types of NSS claps on day two.During evening hours, the Cultural Events of few selected states were organized.
Day 3: 23rd March 2025
Onthethird dayof the camp, the daybeganat6:00 AM with the wakeup activities followed with lunch and sports competition. Afterwards, everyone gathered in Auditorium for Lecture on ShahidiDiwas. The participants also learned the CPR procedure.
After this, a Group dance and solo dance competition, with Slogan Writing Competition was organized which ended with cultural events of other few states in evening.
Day 4: 24th March 2025
On the fourth day of the camp, the daybeganat6:00 AM with wakeup activities and sports competition. A Guest lecture on Empowerment of Women for Viksit Bharatand the role of youth towards making it a reality was organized during afternoon hours. The discussion highlighted the importance of gender equality, education, and economic Independence for women in shaping a developed India. Everybody also had the opportunity to learn about Devi AhilyaBaiHolkar, a remarkable queen known for her wisdom, administrative skills, and contributions to society. Her story inspired everybody, showing how strong leadership and determination can bring positive change. Afterwards, Group Singing and Solo Singing competition were organized followed with Central India’s states representing there culture.
Day 5: 25th March 2025
The fifth day of the camp started with wake-up activities, beginning with a yoga session before breakfast. After breakfast, participants proceeded to the ground and visited the Agro-Tourism Centre.
The guest lecture for the day covered topics on youth health, medical emergencies, and first aid, followed by a special session on contemporary youth development, delivered by esteemed professors and researchers from CSSHAU.
The day concluded with a visit to the AgrohaDham Temple in the evening, followed by vibrant state performances from the Northeast.
Day 6: 26th March 2025
On the sixth day of the camp, the day commenced at 6:00 AM with a yoga session as part of the morning wake-up activities. Following breakfast, participants headed to the ground, where various sports competitions were organized.
The guest lecture of sixth day focused on the role of youth in decision-making positions and how diversity, inclusivity, and equality are shaping India's future.
A Blood Donation Drive was also organized, where 2 volunteers Donated blood.
The day concluded with a prize distribution ceremony and a valedictory event, graced by the special guest, the honorary DGP of Meghalaya, Smt. IdashishaNongrang (IPS North East Division, India.)
DCE students along with other colleges under Gurugram University won highest number of awards which included 5 trophies, 8 certificates of positions, etc.
Jaiveer Singh secured the first position in both Speech and Slogan Writing competitions, showcasing his exceptional oratory and creative writing skills.
ShreyaKumari demonstrated her artistic talent by winning first place in Collage Making and securing second place in Slogan Writing.
VivekRawat bagged second position in Collage Making, reflecting his creativity and design abilities.
Day 7: 27th March 2025
On the last day of the camp, the day started at 6:00 AM with wake-up activities, beginning with a refreshing yoga session to energize the body and mind before breakfast. After breakfast, the camp's final moments were marked by a sense of camaraderie as participants packed their belongings and gathered in groups.
The mood was bittersweet, with many reflecting on the memorable experiences shared during the camp.
Benefits/ Outcome: Participation in the NIC provided an invaluable opportunity for learning, collaboration, and national integration. Societal needs like education, environmental conservation, and health awareness were addressed,cultural exchange was fostered as volunteers were engaged in discussions and activities celebrating India's Unity in Diversity.
