Introduction to IoT Club

The IoT Club of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized an Introductory session for first-year students on 31st March 2025. to offer a glimpse into the fascinating and ever-evolving world of the Internet of Things (IoT). The session aimed to spark curiosity among newcomers, familiarize them with the club’s vision and initiatives, and inspire active involvement in upcoming IoT-based projects and events.
Conducted by enthusiastic club members - Anjali Kumari, Davesh Tiwari, Shiva, Lakshay Kaushik, Mantavya Bhardwaj, and Nitin - under the guidance of Faculty Coordinator Prof. Tamanna Sehgal, the session featured a series of engaging activities. These included an overview of the club’s mission, discussions on the growing relevance of IoT in today’s tech-driven world, and interactive demonstrations involving basic IoT circuits, automation techniques, and mini-projects using LEDs, sensors, microcontrollers, servo motors, and a functional 4-wheeler prototype.
The session concluded with an open Q&A, where first-year students were encouraged to participate in future workshops and competitions. Overall, juniors gained fundamental knowledge of IoT systems, practical exposure to electronics and automation, and a clear understanding of how IoT merges creativity with real-world problem-solving — motivating them to explore, collaborate, and innovate through the club's future endeavors.
