India Innovation Initiative 2017

Himanshu Joshi (17529), Sourav Singh (17563), Naman Magan (18533) and Naveen Daksh (18534) from Information and Technology Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon participated in the Regional Workshop of 9th India Innovation Initiative 2017 (I3-2017) held on 9th - 10th November 2017. Project titled Androaqua was shortlisted among the Top 25 Innovators of Northern Region based on the evaluation.
India Innovation Initiative (i3) is one of India’s most prestigious and most-awaited National Innovation Challenges promoted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)
The aim of the workshop was to encourage, enable and provide support to the development of home-grown, high-impact science & technology-based innovations and their transformation into viable and scalable commercial and social ventures.
The two day’s workshop has been a platform to connect innovations having high social or industrial impact with the start-up ecosystem of business incubators, angel investors, venture capitalists and mentors at different stages of the innovation or business cycle, after they undergo a highly- competitive selection-process.
Day 1: 9th November 2017.
Students gave the demonstration and the presentation of their project during the workshop. The participants demonstrated their innovations to the jury, who conducted an on-the-spot evaluation.
Day 2: 10th November 2017
Students witnessed many new inspirational ideas and many interesting models, during the session many entrepreneurs shared their experiences and adversities they faced during startups.
The top 5 winners from all 4 regions will be recognized at the Regional level and invited to participate in the final i3 National Fair & Awards Ceremony 2017 in New Delhi.
