ACCENTURE INNOVATION CHALLENGE
27th -28th November 2017
Project titled “SMART POULTRY FARMING SYSTEM” of CSE Department students Rohan Gupta (18143), Shashank Rawat (18153) and Surbhi Sharma (18169) from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon with the theme Distruptive Business got selected to take part in the annual innovation extravaganza Accenture Innovation Challenge on 10th November2017. The team visited Bengaluru with Ms. Parul Bansal as TEAM MENTOR from 27th to 28th of November 2017.
The themes of the contest are 'Disruptive Businesses' and 'Tech for Good'. All submitted ideas evaluated on the basis of three criteria - innovativeness, technical feasibility and impact.
Day 1: 27th November 2017
The team got a great opportunity to visit the Accenture Innovation Hub. Accenture launched its first Innovation Hub in Bengaluru, India, a facility that combines Accenture’s technology capabilities in a collaborative environment to help clients transform their businesses for the digital world.
The Innovation Hub in Bengaluru offers clients access to Accenture’s industry knowledge, applied in a live technology delivery environment, which includes customized visits, design-thinking workshops, co-innovation workshops and cross-industry innovation.
Students attended a workshop on STORYWALLAS by Mr. Ameen Haq who introduced the teams for framing their presentations well.
Day 2: 28th November 2017
The day was the finale of Accenture Innovation Challenge which was hosted in Hotel Park Plaza, Bengaluru. The 12 teams presented their products and services to all the 8 jury members and the employees of the Accenture Innovation and after the 4 hours of nerve racking competition jury announced the results. All the team members as well as the Mentor got goodies as well that includes: Accenture Innovation Challenge Mug, Accenture Keychain, Accenture Innovation Challenge T-shirt, Accenture Pen, Accenture Innovation Challenge Diary, Accenture Innovation Challenge Bottle and Accenture Innovation Challenge Photoframes.
It was a great experience for the students.
