Selection of CSE Students for Section Ambassador - IEEE Day 2016
On 13th August 2016, eight students Akshay Yadav (16014), Abhimanyu Thakur (16003), Anu Jindal (16027), Aarusi Tuteja (16002), Shweta Popli, Anurag Vats (16029), Akshat Pokhriyal (16013), Divyanshu Kukreti (16058) fromComputer Science & Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon, are selected asSection Ambassadors for IEEE Day 2016.
IEEE Day celebrated first time in 1884 when engineers worldwide and IEEE members gathered to share their technical ideas. IEEE Day’s theme is: “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow”. While the world benefits from what’s new, IEEE focuses on what’s next. IEEE Day 2016 is the 7th edition of the same and will be celebrated on 4th October 2016. Worldwide celebrations demonstrate the ways thousands of IEEE members in local communities join together to collaborate on ideas that leverage technology for a better tomorrow.
The IEEE Day team is made up of student volunteers, young professionals, and staff. Together, they work to assure that this year's celebration will be even bigger and more impressive than the previous editions. The principle task of the IEEE Day team is to initiate, motivate, and coordinate events and efforts to celebrate this day worldwide. In addition to an enjoyable time and empowering members to engineer the future and beyond, the team actively supports members and volunteers.
As an IEEE Section Ambassadors, these students will motivate and help the students to participate in IEEE Events, Seminars and technical questions of Programming challenges.
