Microsoft Innovation Center, Hainan organized Tech Summit 2016 on 30th November 2016 at Hotel Langham, Haikou, China. Mrs. Dimple Saproo, HOD - ECE and Mrs. Megha Goel, HOD - IT & CSIT attended the summit as Guests of Honor. The summit invited guests from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, India and other countries. The summit also included officials from Hainan provincial government, Taiwan Affairs Office of Hainan Province, Industry and Information Technology Office, Hainan Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, Sanya Municipal Science and Technology.
The event focused on the policy "All the Way along the Way", that is, how all the MICs worldwide can collaborate and help each other in the development of the society by the means of spreading awareness and educating young lot towards the new technologies and advancements.
The event was jointly organized by the Hainan Provincial Industry and Information Technology Department and Microsoft Innovation Centre, Hainan. The summit aimed to further implement the national "Internet +" and “public entrepreneurship and innovation” strategy, to highlight international development in view of the Internet Industry, and promote the Internet Industry in Hainan and Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, India and other countries.
The event started with the welcome speech of Mr. She Yongxu, CEO, Hainan Microsoft Innovation Center. He warmly greeted all the Guests of Honor. It was followed by the introductory speech of Mr. Chen Wanxin, Deputy Director, Hainan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. He focused on the aids and help provided by the Government in the development of MIC, Hainan and the students enrolled under it.
The introductory speech was followed by the panel discussion on the agenda strategic development of the industry, new spark for the local enterprises and the Internet entrepreneurs to bring a wealth of experience in the feast of industry experience. The key speakers in the panel discussion were Hong Kong Cyberport CEO Mr. Lin Xiangyang, Neihu Technology Park Development Association Mr. Ma Ji Jie, Director of Taipei, Taiwan Gold To Network CEO Mr. Guo, Singapore Island Branch co-founder Zhu Feng Hao, Mr. Bao Xuan Cheng and Ms. Megha Goel, MIC Coordinator, Dronacharya College of Engineering, India.
The summit was ended with the focus on "along the way" strategic linkage development as the core guidance, form a cooperative mechanism across the globe considering Microsoft's innovation center in Hainan as one of the carrier, the transformation of personnel, technology, market advantages, cooperation for the island to provide a high - quality information technology docking platform. In the IT / promote the Internet industry in the three-round cooperation, resource sharing, mutual benefit and win-win.
