Moving up- Empowering Entrepreneurship

A one day Entrepreneurship event was organized by BW Business World at Le Meridian, New Delhi on 4th April 2015. Mr. Tanupriya Choudhury from Computer Science Engineering Department and Ms. Rashim Kumar from Information Technology Department, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended this event as the delegates. Session started with the warm welcome note delivered by the Chairman & Editor-in-Chief, BW Business World, Mr. Anurag Batra. A total of 52 members had participated in the event, from diverse regions and various field (Faculty, Student, Lawyer, Managing Directors, Investment Banker, & Media Consultant).
Entrepreneurship has to emerge as a key mainstay for driving India’s quest of double digit economic growth. Yet there are limited avenues for nurturing this entrepreneurial engine in a job-mind-set dominated society. In this context such events are essential. However the larger need is for creating a mass-entrepreneur-generating platform. For this there is need for creating similar forums, sessions, events for active listening, scholarly interpretation & an apparatus for mass generation entrepreneurs.
Empowering entrepreneurship was divided into two sessions. First session was in how to do best marketing strategies so that customer should reach out to make or create the value of a product. As a moderator Mr. Gaurav Yadav (Founder & CEO of School Quiz league of Educare Services) moderated the session along with Mr. Manoj Chandra(CEO Jetking Infotrain),Anurag Kapoor(Executive Director, GHV Accelator), Abhishek Vaish(Investment Banker), Mandeep Singh(MD Brandtone), Shalesh Vikram Singh(Venture Capital Investor). The panelist discussed about the scalability and sustainability of a business model. In the session research marketing strategies also been discussed so that a marketer should know where and how and when a business should be established and who would be the target customer..
Second session was in sustainable business growth & best ideas was given to how to plan as well as protect your business idea. The panelists were Gaurav Miglani(Lawyer), Rajiv Chawla(Chairman SME/MSME), Narendra Kumbhat(Bankers Trainer), Dr. Debashish Bhattacharya(Academician) and moderated by Dr. Shounak Roy Choudhury(Faculty & Director O P Jindal Global University). The panelist discussed about sustainability has been at the core of business philosophy — predictability, sustainability, profitability, and de-risking (PSPD). This has been the underlying and overarching aspect of every business decision that have made over the last three decades. The panelist also discussed about patent laws, copyrights and designing strategies so that our idea should not be stolen. Use three legal tools with the help and oversight of an attorney: Non-disclosure agreement (NDA), Non-compete agreement, Work-for-hire agreement was also conferred. The session was concluded by Dr. Shounak followed by a question answer session.
Inclusively, it has been a really valuable empowering entrepreurship event, which ascertained very advantageous for all the participants. It is extensively useful to spot young entrepreneur skills and motivate them for growth of Young India-Make Up India.
