2-Days Annual Tech Fest DRONATHON'24

5th - 6th April 2024

 

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized Technical Annual Fest DRONATHON’24 from 5th April - 6th April, 2024. The fest had a total of 14 events, out of which 6 were major events and 8 were minor.  The event was coordinated by Prof. Neha Chauhan and Dr. Shipra Kataria. One most known community - GDSC had also conducted grand hackathons along with other events. There were 15 dignitaries and one Chief Guest for the DRONATHON’24 event. Details for the same are mentioned below:

  1. RISHABH KADYAN (Chief Guest, Manager, Cyber & IT Risk at Grant Thronton Bharat) and also a proud alumni of Dronacharya College of Engineering, 2013 Batch.

Four society chapters had organized major and minor events as follow:

ACM SOCIETY CHAPTER

  1. Hack-IT-Thrice: AI Innovation Hackathon (6thApril) – MAJOR EVENT

Participants had to unleash their intelligence and creativity with mentorship to solve real-world problems by developing cutting-edge AI applications.

  1. Code Veda (5thApril) – MINOR EVENT

Participation in Code Veda opened up opportunities for internships, freelance work, or full-time employment in tech companies, start-ups, or even launching their own ventures.

  1. Web Brilliance: Crafting Digital Literacy (6th April) – MINOR EVENT

The event gave an opportunity to showcase digital literacy skills in Web page development. Learning webpage design equipped students with essential digital literacy skills, including understanding HTML, CSS, and potentially JavaScript, PHP etc. The event encouraged students to express their creativity through layout, colour schemes, typography, and graphics.

 

CSI SOCIETY CHAPTER

  1. HACK-O-RELAY 3.0 (4thApril – 6th April) – MAJOR EVENT

It was a 3-day long hackathon for the students in which they expressed their talent & skills and won exciting prizes.

  1. DEBUG DECRYPT (5th – 6th April) – MAJOR EVENT

Logic development and debugging skills are very important in the realm of computer science and engineering.

  1. House LA nester -BGMI Game tournament (5th – 6th April) – MINOR EVENT

A battleground where college students clashed in the digital arena of BGMI. Exclusively for esteemed college students, the championship was a testament to skill and camaraderie.

  1. Technodium - A Technical Extempore (5th – 6th April) – MINOR EVENT

The event was all about to analyse the topic, identify the issues addressed, generate idea and present in front of the esteemed panel of judges. 

ISTE CHAPTER

  1. Tech Tonic: Project Competition (5th – 6th April) – MAJOR EVENT

The event served as both a platform and an opportunity to exhibit the fruits of labor and showcase exceptional talent through the projects crafted. Teams engaged in friendly competition, vying for the prestigious Best Project Award. 

  1. Dron Vision: Poster Making Competition (5th April) – MINOR EVENT

The event was to showcase artistic skills to present the ideas of mind and illustrate creativity in form of posters.

  1. Pirates Bounty: Treasure Hunt (5th April) – MINOR EVENT

The event was about playing the version of a super exhilarating journey to decode fascinating puzzles. Putting your mind through the gripping event of mysticism and magic! 

IEEE SOCIETY CHAPTER

  1. FIRA: ROBOT SHOW (5th – 6th April) – MAJOR EVENT

The event witnessed thrilling action as the robots navigate the f.ield, score goals, and outmanoeuvre their opponents with precision. The event was a showcase of creativity, innovation, and engineering finesse like never before!

  1. CASTODIA (5th – 6th April) – MAJOR EVENT

The event was about to showcase projects fuelled with dedication, research, and a shared commitment towards positive change solution presented in PPTs.

  1. Cam Flicker: Movie Competition (5th April) – MINOR EVENT

The event was about to showcase acting skills to present the ideas and illustrate creativity in form of Documentary Movie.

  1. Tech Rangoli: Rangoli Competition (5th April) – MINOR EVENT

The event showcased artistic skills to present the ideas and illustrate creativity in form of Rangoli.

There were 3 grand events with prize pool of worth 30,000. For 1st – 15,000, 2nd – 10,000 and 3rd – 5,000.
