One Day Workshop on Cyber Security

CSI and IEEE Student Chapter, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized a workshop on “Cybersecurity” as a part of “Two days International Conference on Technological Innovative Transformation To Industry 5.0 (ICTII – 2024) on 23rd May, 2024. Mr. Pranav Suri (Co-Founder & CEO, kaksha.ai) and Mr. Ribhu Lahiri (Co-founder & CEO, kaksha.ai) were the keynote trainers of the workshop. 140 students attended the workshop.
Dr. Shipra Kataria (Faculty, DCE) coordinated the workshop and welcomed the guest speaker and highlighted the growing importance of cybersecurity in academia and industry. The objective of the workshop was to provide an overview of current threats, vulnerabilities, and defense mechanisms in cyberspace.
The speaker explained the various types of cyber threats, such as phishing, ransomware, and malware, emphasizing their impact on individuals and organizations. Further the trainer focused on ethical hacking and penetration testing. He also introduced the students to the tools and techniques used by cybersecurity professionals to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities. The workshop provided participants with hands-on experience in securing large language model (LLM) applications and covered essential techniques and best practices.
Benefit/ Outcome: Attendees gained valuable insights into identifying potential security vulnerabilities and implementing robust security measures, ensuring the safe deployment and operation of LLM applications in various contexts.
