Launch Of Internship Program 'Pradipti' By Airports Authority Of India

ECS and ME students of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram along with Prof. Dimple Saproo and Prof. Megha Goel attended the launch of Internship Program “Pradipti” by Airports Authority of India, New Delhi on 10th May 2024. The event was organized at Indian Aviation Academy, New Delhi.
The internship program offered by AAI will aim to facilitate learning the practical aspects of Airport Infrastructure, Operations, and Air Navigation Services and generate interest in Civil Aviation among youth by reaching out to educational institutes in the vicinity of airports.
The program was launched by the Chairman of Airports Authority of India. Delhi-NCR based educational institutions were invited to attend the event and interaction, along with their concerned Heads in person whereas institutions in other parts of the country joined through video conferencing. The event included live interaction with the senior management of AAI as well as Airport Directors across the country.
The AAI has produced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which will be signed by the relevant educational institutions and AAI to expedite the implementation of the internship program. According to the AAI officials during the interactive session, more than 120 institutions have signed the Memorandum of Understanding for their students enrolled in graduation, post-graduation, and professional degree programs at AAI Airports around the nation. An MoU was also inked by the Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram and AAI.
The address by the Chairman Mr. Sanjeev Kumar was the highlight of the event as he answered all the queries of the professors and the students from various disciplines with utmost clarity and patiently.
The initiative has opened the doors of AAI functionality and management to all the student community where in they can see, feel and learn the actual working of the AAI.
The program has three levels with a variety of learning opportunities ranging from small-duration visits to long-duration internships. The initiative will help the students in learning and connecting the theory with practice.
