Workshop on DevOps

CSI and IEEE Student Chapter, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized a workshop on “DevOps” as a part of “Two days International Conference on Technological Innovative Transformation To Industry 5.0 (ICTII – 2024) on 24th May, 2024 for 3rd year B.Tech students. Mr. Bharat Bhushan (Sr. DevOps Engineer, Pine Labs, Noida; RedHat, AWS, Docker Kubernetes certified) was the keynote trainers of the workshop. Ms. Pooja Khot (Faculty, DCE) coordinated the workshop. 120 students attended the workshop.
The primary objective of the session was to introduce students to the DevOps culture, its tools, and practices, and demonstrate its impact on modern software development and deployment processes. The comprehensive workshop offered an in-depth, practical approach to key DevOps tools and technologies, including AWS, GIT, Docker, and Kubernetes. Participants had the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities, gaining practical experience and insights directly from Mr. Bhushan and his team of experienced instructors. The interactive sessions allowed attendees to deepen their understanding of DevOps practices, troubleshoot real-world scenarios, and apply their newly acquired skills in a collaborative environment. The workshop was highly valued by participants for its practical relevance and expert-led instruction.
Benefit/Outcome: The workshop offered students a strong foundation in DevOps and its tools. It inspired many participants to explore career opportunities in this growing domain and adopt DevOps practices in their projects, prepared them to excel in the competitive software engineering landscape.
