School Outreach Program on Water Conservation

Dronacharya College of Engineering successfully organized a comprehensive school outreach program on Water Conservation at Government Senior Secondary School, Patli on 28th January 2026. The program was led by Prof. Pooja Sharma, Prof. Dr. Vaishali Dixit, and Prof. Dr. Kunal, with the primary objective of creating awareness among secondary school students about the critical importance of water conservation and sustainable water resource management.
The initiative was designed to educate young learners on water-related environmental challenges and to instill a sense of responsibility towards the sustainable use of natural resources. Through interactive awareness sessions, the faculty members highlighted the significance of water conservation in ensuring environmental sustainability and national well-being. Practical examples and simple conservation techniques were shared to help students understand how individual actions can contribute to preserving water resources.
To enhance student engagement and reinforce learning, an interactive quiz competition was conducted, encouraging active participation and testing students’ understanding of water conservation concepts. The quiz generated enthusiastic involvement, fostering curiosity and practical awareness among the participants.
The program concluded with prize distribution to recognize and motivate students for their participation and performance. This gesture aimed to inspire students to adopt environmentally responsible practices and develop into conscious and responsible citizens.
Overall, the outreach program proved to be highly effective, achieving meaningful student engagement and participation. The initiative reaffirmed Dronacharya College of Engineering’s commitment to environmental awareness, community outreach, and sustainable development, while nurturing environmental consciousness among future generations.
