Workshop on Competitive Programming Challenges
25th November 2022
Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram in collaboration with ICT Academy organized a dynamic workshop on "Competitive Programming Challenges" aimed at fostering problem-solving skills and coding expertise among engineering students. The workshop focused on preparing students for national and international coding competitions, as well as enhancing their proficiency in algorithm design, data structures, and efficient coding practices. Mr. Tafazul Nabi (Trainer from ICT) was the eminent speaker of the workshop. 120 students attended the workshop. Dr. Seema (ICT Coordinator) coordinated the workshop.
The session covered a wide range of topics, including solving complex problems using advanced algorithms, optimizing code for performance, and handling edge cases. Participants were introduced to popular competitive programming platforms such as Codeforces, LeetCode, and HackerRank, and were guided on effective strategies to tackle time-bound challenges. The workshop also featured hands-on coding sessions, where students solved real-time problems under the guidance of experienced mentors. Tips on debugging, improving code readability, and mastering frequently-used algorithms were shared.
The workshop concluded with a live Q&A, where students received personalized feedback and resources to continue their competitive programming journey. Participants appreciated the workshop for its practical insights and actionable guidance, which equipped them with the skills to excel in the competitive programming landscape.
