The Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship presented by Certiport, Inc. is a global competition that tests students’ skills on Microsoft Office Word, Excel® and PowerPoint® (2013 or 2016). Top students are invited to represent their respective countries at the World Championship. In some countries or regions, students are required to participate in a National Championship, and the winners of that event continue on to the World Championship.
MIC DCE introduces the course of Microsoft Office Specialist to the students in First year itself in the categories of Word, Power point and Excel. The training sessions and hands on practice on these courses are included in the curriculum itself and specific lectures per week are designated for the same. By the end of the semester each student appears for the exam on the selected category at MIC as MIC DCE is an authorized Certiport Test Center. Top scorers from each category participate in MOS Championship and have been bringing laurels to MIC by winning second and third positions respectively in past two years.
The National round was conducted on 28th May, 2017 in JIM, Noida and the results were announced in the award ceremony on 29th May 2017 at PhD Chamber of Commerce and Industries, New Delhi.
Nishant has bagged a certificate of achievement and a medal for being India Finalist in MOS Championship.
