The competition was started in the year 2005 to provide a platform for final year engineering students to showcase their projects. The competition has 3 categories: ECE/EEE, CSE/IT and ME. The first phase of the competition consists of the various colleges sending in their best projects under these categories which are then shortlisted and judged by industry experts on the basis of innovation, feasibility, cost, idea and scope of the project.
The following projects from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon participated in the event:
Mechanical Engineering:
- Energy Saving Advanced Maglev Train
- Smart Car
- Magnolysis Hydrogen Engine
Electronics and Communication Engineering:
- Healthcare Monitoring System using Internet of Things
Computer Science Engineering and Information Technology:
- Server Automation
- You are not alone
These projects were selected for the presentation round held on 22nd April 2017. The results for the presentation round were announced during the 13th award ceremony of Best Engineering Project Competition 2017 held on 6th May 2017 in the august presence of Dr. S.K. Goyal (Entrepreneur & IIT Alumnus) and several eminent personalities from industry.
The project “Healthcare Monitoring System using Internet of Things” from Electronics and Computer Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaonshortlisted under the ECE/EEECategory bagged 1st position in the ECE/EEE category. The project is completed by Akansha Marwah (16762), Amit Saini (16763), Jyoti (16767)and Shweta Saini (16773) from 8th Semester ECS under the guidance of Ms. Parul Bansal(Assistant Professor, ECE).The students presented and demonstrated the working of their project and competed against other projects under the ECE/EEE category.
