Industrial Visit to Maruti Suzuki India Limited

ISTE student chapter along with Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MoE), Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized an industrial visit to Maruti Suzuki India Limited on 27th February, 2024. 45 students of ECE & EEE Dept. along with Prof. Kanika Lamba (EEE Dept.) embarked on an enlightening journey to the Maruti Suzuki manufacturing plant located in Udyog Vihar.
Upon arrival at the sprawling Maruti Suzuki plant, students received warm hospitality by the staff of MSIL who guided us through the registration process. The enthusiasm among the group was palpable as students eagerly anticipated exploring into the world of automobile manufacturing.
Led by experienced tour guides, students embarked on an extensive tour of the manufacturing facilities. The plant's sheer scale and organization were awe-inspiring. Students witnessed the assembly lines in action, marvelling at the synchronized choreography of robots and skilled workers crafting automobiles with precision and efficiency. The integration of cutting-edge robotics and automation was evident throughout the plant, streamlining production processes and ensuring consistency in quality. Witnessing robotic arms delicately handling components showcased Maruti Suzuki's commitment to technological advancement.
At every stage of production, stringent quality control measures were implemented to uphold Maruti Suzuki's reputation for reliability and excellence. Students gained insights into the rigorous testing procedures conducted to ensure each vehicle meets the highest standards of safety and performance. Students also learned about initiatives such as water recycling, energy-efficient lighting, and waste management strategies, underscoring the company's commitment to environmental stewardship.
The industrial visit also featured interactive sessions with industry experts, providing valuable insights into the automotive sector's current trends and prospects. Engaging in discussions on topics ranging from electric vehicles to supply chain management enriched the understanding of dynamics shaping the automotive industry.
