Anti - Terrorism Day

NSS unit of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram observed “Anti-terrorism Day” on 21st May, 2022 to spread awareness about the dangers of terrorism and to promote peace and harmony. 25 students participated in the program. The day marks the death anniversary of former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. NSS Coordinator Dr. Anupam Dalal enlightened the students about the dangers of terrorism and its impact on society.
The theme for the day was "United Against Terrorism" to emphasize the need for solidarity and unity in the fight against terrorism.
The objective of Anti-Terrorism Day was to make people aware of the importance of maintaining communal harmony, national integration, and peace in society. It also aims to pay tribute to the sacrifices of the security personnel who lost their lives while fighting terrorism.
Dr. Anupam Dalal spoke on the issue of terrorism and its effects on the country and its people. She explained all forms of terrorism and aroused a feeling that each must adopt a zero tolerance approach towards terrorism. She advised all to come together and stand united against terrorism.
The day reminded everyone that the fight against terrorism is a collective responsibility and that every citizen has a role to play in ensuring peace and security in society.
