AIMA Interactive Session on Corporate Happiness

An Interactive Session on Corporate Happiness was organized by All India Management Association (AIMA), at AIMA, New Delhi on 20th May, 2015. Ms. Priyanka Mahani, of Electronics and Computer Engineering Department fromDronacharya College of Engineeering, Gurgaon attended the session.
The objective of the session was to make the participants understand the significance of the subject “Corporate Happiness”.In today’s competitive world, it is very difficult to achieve excellence in the corporate world and still be happy.
Mr. Sumit Chaudhary opened the session by asking few simple questions from the audience. A simple poll was conducted and it was revealed that there was not such a strong co - relation between wealth and happiness.
Dr. Rekha Shetty, founder, Mindspower Brand and Managing Director of Farstar Distribution Network began her session with a mock yoga drill. She explained through this mock drill that how mobile phones have intruded into the lives of people and how they come in the way of happiness. She then asked the participants to turn sideways and compliment the person sitting next.
She then spoke about the Swachch Bharat mission. She asked the participants to use all 5 senses and discover the various ways in which nature has bestowed human beings with pleasures. She stated that there are 2 ways by which one can change themselves and take charge of their own lives - Take actions proactively or Let time change. Short and meaningful activities were conducted in between the session trying to showcase the importance of simple actions in helping to lead a happy life. The session was well supported by short videos enlightening the participants on the various aspects of happiness and ways to lead a happy life.
A book written by Dr. Shetty was then released and some copies handed over to prominent delegates. Dr Shetty also shared simple happiness mantras which one must practice on a daily basis.
The session described the process of creating a positive mind space and also the impact of negative fields and how to avoid them. It was a great experience for the participants to be part of this meaningful and valuable session.
