Celebration of Samvidhan Diwas (Constitution Day) 2023

NSS Units, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram celebrated “Samvidhan Diwas (Constitution Day)” on 26^th November, 2023 to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India in the year 1949. An awareness session at Government Girls Middle School, Patli was organized on 25^th November, 2023. Dr. Anupam Dalal and Prof. Pooja Sharma (NSS PO, DCE) took the session. They made the students aware about the history and importance of Constitution Day.

After the Constitution was adopted on 26^th November, 1949, it took few months to get implemented in the country. The Constitution was fully implemented on 26^th January, 1950. Therefore, this day was celebrated with great pomp across the country as Republic Day.

To commemorate Samvidhan Diwas (Constitution Day), the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs invited all citizens to participate in the Constitution Quiz and Online Reading of the Preamble on 26^th November. 42 students participated in the activities.

For conducting celebration activities, following two web portals were made by the Ministry operational to ensure maximum public participation:

1. Online reading of the preamble to the constitution in English and Hindi

2. Online quiz on Bharat Loktantra Ki Janani

NSS volunteers participated in the Constitution Quiz and Online Reading of the Preamble with great enthusiasm.
