Awareness Campaign on Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

NSS units, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram conducted an Awareness Campaign on “Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking” on 26th June, 2024 for the students to increase awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse and motivate the students towards a drug free life.
Students participated in campaign by taking pledge for "Say Yes to Life, No to Drugs”.
14 NSS Volunteers along with Dr. Ashok Kumar (NSS, PO) went to the nearby village Khentawas to spread the message about ill effects of consuming drugs and involving in ill practices of Illicit Trafficking. Volunteers carried banners and placards with powerful slogans such as “Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life” and “Drugs Destroy Dreams.” The students distributed pamphlets containing detailed information about the harmful effects of drugs, warning signs of addiction, and available helpline numbers for assistance.
Benefit/Outcome: The campaign helped in spreading awareness but also contributed to the collective effort of fighting drug abuse and illicit trafficking in society.
