ACM Summer School 2024

Department of CSE(Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) , Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized ACM Summer School 2024 from 13th June – 19th July 2024. The summer school was offered in blended mode. Three days Offline and One day Online including project work and certification guidance. The sessions held in Lab 206 and Lab 207 were facilitated by experienced faculty members, including Prof. (Dr.) Ritu Pahwa, Prof. (Dr.) Yogita Y. Raghav, Prof. Naveen, and Prof. Parveen Kumari. 30 students attended the ACM Summer School 2024.
Participants deeply immersed in rigorous preparation for the Microsoft Azure AI-900 certification. Students actively worked on practice tests within the Microsoft environment, gained invaluable hands-on experience and deepened their understanding of AI concepts and Azure services. The innovative program, organized under the banner of the ACM Student Chapter, aimed to empower students with essential AI and ML skills through a comprehensive foundation course designed to meet the demands of Industry 5.0.
Week 1 and Week 2 covered detailed dissemination of information related to Digital Image Processing (DIP) by and Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals by Prof (Dr.) Ritu Pahwa and Prof. Naveen Rathi. Week 3 and Week 4 covered topics related to Natural Language Processing and Cloud Computing by Prof (Dr.) Yogita Y. Raghav and Prof Parveen Kumari. Week 5 was dedicated for the evaluation of Project Work and Internship Report.
The course focused on providing hands-on experience with real-world problems, enabled participants to work with advanced tools and libraries. It also featured expert talks on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) delivered by renowned speakers from national and international academic institutions.
Participants were benefitted from DCE ACM Certification which is recognized as a practical training component under the GU Curriculum, and were guided on earning globally accepted certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure AI-900T00 and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
